These projects all included a process of interactive development of strategic business plans commencing with staff and management workshops leading to development and adoption of the final plan by the organisation’s Board of Directors.
All plans were supported by an analysis of the organisation’s current financial position, its achievements, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, strategies for achievement of five year goals together with full cash flow and resource management budgets for the period.
An academic version of the strategic business plan developed for the Bank of the Cook Islands was submitted by Jock Struthers as his major MBA project assignment, receiving an A- grading on 1st marking.
The BFI Forest business plan laid out the strategy and operational requirements for the project to become self sustaining once the full planting to harvest cycle was complete.
SME Development & Support Services have been provided in a number of counties in support of Private Sector Development. Examples include:
